Who We Are

Tina Huynh
Creator ~ Head Researcher ~ Writer ~ Producer
Tina is a Vietnamese American musician and music educator. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from California State University Long Beach and Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in Music Education from the University of Southern California. Her research interests include the role of music in the Vietnamese culture, which led to this project. To Tina, this film is an ode to the musicians who have worked hard to make the Vietnamese American community culturally resilient and sustaining. Tina is Assistant Professor of Music Education at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA.


Stephen Ling
Director of Photography
Stephen Ling is a cinematographer with over nine years of experience in the film industry. A native of Los Angeles and a graduate of Northwestern University's film program, he joined the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 600 Union in 2016 and has since worked extensively on a variety of narrative, documentary and commercial projects.
James Rael
Director
James oversees and participates in many of the key crew positions. With over twelve years involvement in the film industry, and working on five feature films, James has experience in Producing, Directing, Cinematography, Editing, Sound Recording/Design, Score Recording/Mixing, and Digital Intermediary processes. With a background in excess of twenty years in photography and cinematography, he has a very visual approach to his filmmaking and keeps a close relationship with his Cinematographers.


Sid De La Cruz
Composer
Sid is an award winning composer who holds a Masters Degree in Music Composition from Claremont Graduate University and studied film scoring at UCLA where he was awarded the BMI Jerry Goldsmith Film Scoring Scholarship. He has composed music for films that have appeared on Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Epix, & Playstation VR. He is a member of The Television Academy (Emmys), The Recording Academy (Grammys) and The Latin Recording Academy (Latin Grammys).


Anthony Rubino
Executive Producer
Anthony has been making movies for as long as he can remember and he endeavors to tell stories that inspire, excite, and entertain. After graduating from Villanova University with a Double Major in Finance and Communication, Specializing in Media Production, Anthony moved from his home town of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Los Angeles to pursue a career in Film and TV Development, Producing, and Entertainment Law. He helped launch an independent production company, First Light Productions, LLC, which has since gone on to produce Award-Winning Narrative Films, VR Experiences, Documentaries, Commercials, and more.
